Progression Box v2.23 (Icecrown Citadel)

Changes from v2.22:
  • Added Icecrown Citadel instances - thanks to Deuteros_CHAOS!
  • Using temporary Icecrown Citadel icons (made from the achievement icon).

Updated Portion Only - Replace the old "// ICECROWN CITADEL" with this code.

Customizing
  • Please refer to the previous customizing instructions, since I'm too lazy to type it all up again LOL
  • NOTE: If your tooltips appear broken or missing, it is most likely that you are missing the modified tooltip script. Add the following to your Footer Area (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Script > Footer Area)
    <style type="text/css">
    .tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
    #tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot { color:#dddddd; background:#222222; border: 1px solid #333333; padding:5px; display:none; opacity: 0.9; filter: alpha(opacity=90); text-align:left; border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; -webkit-border-radius: 1em; }
    </style>
    <script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/tooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Hi Mottie,

The tooltip for the progression box doesn't seem to be working right. I found the post you suggested to add the code to the footer but it only works if I refresh the page a few times and then when it does come up, it won't go away. Any suggestions?

http://falloutonlkultiras.guildportal.com

any help is appreciated

Thanks

*Edit
I found your reply post to bhFranka on the previous page with the code for tooltips. I pasted it into the footer without the code for the progression box. It seems to work now. Is this the correct way to get tooltips working?

*Edit
Actually it did show tooltips correcty but I lost the function to use any .js menus(i.e. I couldn't use any "edit" buttons that were js or the control panel link). Fortunately, I was able to go back through my browser history and remove the code from the footer to fix it. However, I'm back to square 1, no tooltips.

Hi Radtasm-FO!

I got a message from Aaron today saying that he was going to fix this problem, I don't know when the code change will take place but it should be today. I'm sure he's actively fixing the other problems that have popped up over the weekend as well.

Hi again Mottie!

Thanks for the response and yes, the tooltips are working properly now.
I do have a question though. The background for the tooltips seems to be transparent and this makes it difficult for our members to read the text. How do I change the background color for the tooltips? I did do some research and looked over your progression box code to see if I could figure it out but I wasn't able too. I see where to change the text and tooltipheader but not the box background. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Radtasm-FO!

If you look through your page source for "#tooltip" you fill find the default one at the very top of the page and possibly a second one in your page footer. If it is not there, then look in your Custom CSS or maybe as part of some other code that has been added. Where ever you find it, you just need to modify the tooltip CSS by changing or removing the opacity (in red below, the filter definition is for IE). To change the background color, modify the CSS in blue
.tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
#tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot { color:#dddddd; background:#222222; border: 1px solid #333333; padding:5px; display:none; opacity: 0.9; filter: alpha(opacity=90); text-align:left; border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; -webkit-border-radius: 1em; }

Thanks Mottie! You're the best

Btw, it wasn't in header or footer, those were blank and my css is fairly simple and didn't have any .tooltip anywhere. However, I pasted your code into my CSS, set opacity to 1.0 and bingo!

Thanks again!

Becoming Adept!

OK, I am new at this whole GP website making, so I will be asking a LOT of questions.

1. Is it possible to have a Progression table for JUST Lich King

2. Is it possible to have that table have mouse overs that show the individual bosses killed?
2. Is it possible to have that table for 10 man only?

OK Below is the code I got from Motties help page and it works but have a few problems.
1. No mouse over function.
2. when I populate the "Killed" fields still shows up as 0/XX bosses downed...

Note. Please disreguard the non opening and closing of "SCRIPT" because I dont know how to post code without it giving me an error.

OK so i dont know how to post raw code.... keeps giving me an error, if anyone wants to PM me or something I can e-mail it to them

Sorry for being a noob

Thanks!

Hi Whatupnaga!

Welcome to the admin forums!

Is it possible to have that table have mouse overs that show the individual bosses killed? ... and ... No mouse over function.

It appears that you are missing the tooltip script needed to make the progression box tooltips work properly. Add the following to your Footer Area (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Scripts > Footer Area)
<style type="text/css">
.tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
#tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot { color:#dddddd; background:#222222; border: 1px solid #333333; padding:5px; display:none; opacity: 0.9; filter: alpha(opacity=90); text-align:left; border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; -webkit-border-radius: 1em; }
</style>
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/tooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Is it possible to have that table for 10 man only? ... and ... No mouse over function.

In the code for the progression box, find and change the following variable:
var hide25manColumn = true;
What the script automatically does is if you've cleared all the bosses on 10 man, it updates the counter to 25 man progression. Changing the above variable makes the script stop doing this and show only 10 man progression.

OK so i dont know how to post raw code....

When you add an HTML tag to the forums like <html>, <head>, <body> or <script>, you need to modify the text inside the tag. I used to change the color to match the text around it, but now I just italicize the words. Here is an example of the tags with the words colored blue:
<html>, <head>, <body> or <script>
I hope that solves the problems you were having!

Hey Mottie, Thanks for the welcome and im glad to be apart of this orginization. You guys and gals seem to know a WHOLE bunch about this stuff and its awesome for someone like me =)

It appears that you are missing the tooltip script needed to make the progression box tooltips work properly. Add the following to your Footer Area (Control Panel > Custom HTML & Scripts > Footer Area)
<style type="text/css">
.tooltip, .preview, .screenshot { cursor:pointer; }
#tooltip, #tooltip2, #preview, #screenshot { color:#dddddd; background:#222222; border: 1px solid #333333; padding:5px; display:none; opacity: 0.9; filter: alpha(opacity=90); text-align:left; border-radius: 1em; -moz-border-radius: 1em; -webkit-border-radius: 1em; }
</style>
<script src="http://www.axiomfiles.com/Files/258012/tooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

I added this but I don't think it worked, I PMed you my script text so you can take a look at it, I still cant seem to add it on here.

In the code for the progression box, find and change the following variable:
var hide25manColumn = true;
What the script automatically does is if you've cleared all the bosses on 10 man, it updates the counter to 25 man progression. Changing the above variable makes the script stop doing this and show only 10 man progression.

Thanks, I will make this change as soon as this post is finished.

I still am doing something wrong, I had to PM this to you Mottie.

Thanks for all the help!!
