Mail Notification v6
by Mottie
Description
This mod opens a popup to notify you if you have a new mail message. It was written for users who wish to hide their top menu bar (state bar/log in bar). Or if you just want a bigger message telling you that you have mail. I've set it up to open either a growl window (timed popup) or a facebox (popup you have to close).
For more information on the custom variables, please see
this post
.
To style the growl window (pictured above), use the "Growl Window Styling" Mod or refer to
this post
.
To style the Facebox popup window, please refer to
this post

Description
This mod will add CSS classes to the character status, so you can set the color yourself with the CSS and the script will do the rest. Within the script, you can set it to just color the Status column or the entire row. This is what it will look like:

I am trying to insert a PayPal button into my web site and as of now have not got it to work. I can creat the button through PayPal and that is as far as I get. What must I do to get it into the web site. How do I insert it into the page where I want it. Where do I copy the HTML code to.
Thank you for your help in advance:

create a free-form text HTML box and put the HTML in their, but sure you click the tab that says HTML in the editing box!

Here's how you do it:
1. Login to paypal under the “merchant account“ you set up to accept payments. I'm not sure if this can be done without one...
2. Go to the “Merchant Tools“ tab.
3. Click “Buy Now Buttons,“ tucked away in the first paragraph that has the title “Use PayPal on your website!“
4. Enter the details in the form. For item name/service, use something like “Site Donation,“ and give any number for the item id/number. Have whatever price you like, select the currency...
5. Select the “Buy Now“ button or provide one of your own.
6. Under Security Settings, click “No“ to encrypt the payment button. Normally, it'd be a very bad idea to do this, but since you're accepting donations from your members and not actually charging for a service, it shouldn't be a big deal.
7. Click “Create Button Now“ to complete the form.
8. Two text boxes with code in them will appear. The code you want to grab is the code in the “Link for Emails“ text box. It contains everything necessary to send the user to PayPal to donate to ya. Here's a sample of what these links look like (please don't donate, lol -- this is just a sample!):

Well, I haven't been able to get it to work in a Freeform / HTML box. It only shows up as the code instead of the actual button. I wanted to do the button version instead of the email, beacuase the email is just a link. When I try to add the website version of the code (or the email one for that matter) or the "verified PayPal" button to the box, it just shows up as code, never as the picture it's supposed to be.
Such as : The following is pasted as HTML:
<Deleted>
The Following is Pasted with Ctrl+V:

Well, correction, I found another post that ended up working. You can just use the free form / html box. Put a picture (the donation button) make it a hyperlink to your donation URL from the email link, then add whatever text you want. This is a lot easier than trying to figure out how to make the code work.

I had trouble with this at one point too but instead of having to do all that code for making the link an image and all that other junk I used this...
<div align="center">
<input value="
What you want your button to say
" onclick="window.open('
the link paypal gives you www.paypal........
', 'newwindow', 'height=550,width=750,toolbar=yes,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,location=no,directories=no,status=no')" type="button">
</div>

Fingers of Fury!
Isn't one issue with doing it this way that once the link is clicked the paypal page won't show the actual email address the donation is supposed to be to?
edit: Is there any way to make the <form> code snippet work on a gp page at all?

I'm a newb so please excuse my stupidity. I made a free form / html box on my home page. I then put the link to the picture (donation button) and hyperlinked it to the donation URL from the email link. Everything works except for the picture. It shows up as the picture link and not as an actual picture. So my question is.
How do you get the picture (the donation button) to show up as a picture and not text?
NEVERMIND
I figured it out
